LaunchVic are promoting a series of courses from sponsored accelerators. Check them out at https://launchvic.org/programs/courses.

The focus is very much in keeping with the startup culture – product development, finding investors with a bit of personal development thrown in. And perhaps it meets the LaunchVic remit as their mission is…

“To lead the development of a globally-connected startup ecosystem by supporting startups and investors to sustainably grow and deliver economic and cultural benefits for both Victoria and Australia.”

So they have the focus on startup and investors but its the ‘sustainably grow and deliver economic and cultural benefits’ that is a bit thin. Particularly missing is a focus on benefits to the community – the assumption is that product/market fit will solve that nut.
