888 Causeway offers members access to a community of like-minded co-operators.


888 Causeway hosts regular events on co-operative and community enterprise and related topics. Additionally, part of the 888 Causeway Network, members can co-ordinate their own events leveraging the power of our network. This includes listing of events on the 888 website and access to the event booking portal – and distribution of event information to our network (subject to our approval processes).

NUW Bursary

The National Union of Workers is offering to sponsor a place in the 888 Co-operative Causeway co-working space in Melbourne. The sponsorship will be for a Victorian resident who is either engaged or interested in:

  • Future of co-operative work – building co-operative alternatives to improve the working lives of people in our community

If you would like to apply for the bursary, giving you access to a quiet co-working space from now until 31 March 2019, please send us a message by clicking through to our contact form and leaving some details about your interest in co-operatives. Also please provide two character references to vouch for your co-operative nature! The Board will decide on the best application. Please note that applications close on the 19th of October.

Space hire

We offer our co-working space for one-off use by network-members at reasonable rates. For repeat or longer-term users, we may ask you to consider membership of the co-operative. The co-working space is suitable for holding small workshops and strategy sessions. The space:

  • Suitable for up to 12 people
  • 4 moveable desks
  • Whiteboard
  • Wifi
  • Toilet
  • Kitchenette
  • Level 5, 306 Little Collin St, Melbourne
  • Central location close to restaurants, bars, trains, trams and buses

Note that priority is given to co-working members in utilising the space.
